About Ivie Huskies
Greetings from eastern North Carolina!
My journey with Siberian Huskies began in 2016 with my first Siberian, Noire. She is a wooly Siberian Husky who completely changed my life and started everything that would eventually become Ivie Huskies. Like many people who fall in love with this breed, what started as admiration quickly turned into a deep passion for learning about structure, movement, temperament, history, preservation, and everything that makes a Siberian uniquely a Siberian.
Since then, these dogs have introduced me to an incredible community of breeders, exhibitors, performance competitors, and friends who continue to teach and inspire me. What began with one dog has grown into a lifelong passion centered around preserving and celebrating this remarkable breed.
Our dogs are first and foremost members of our family. They live in our home, share our daily lives, and are raised with the belief that a Siberian should be both a capable athlete and a wonderful companion. We participate in a variety of activities including conformation, Fast CAT, dock diving, trick dog, and recreational bikejoring. While we enjoy titles and competition, our greatest joy comes from watching our dogs genuinely enjoy working, learning, and experiencing life alongside us.
Sound movement, balanced structure, stable temperaments, and breed type are deeply important to us. We strive to produce healthy, functional Siberians that honor the breed standard while still being dogs people truly enjoy living with every day. We value moderation and believe the Siberian Husky should remain an athletic, versatile working breed capable of both beauty and function.
We do not breed frequently and each breeding is planned carefully with long-term goals in mind. Most of our puppies go to active companion homes, while occasionally select puppies may be placed in performance or show homes. We do not breed for color, and we strongly believe that temperament, structure, health, and overall quality should always come first.
Siberians are intelligent, energetic, and often wonderfully chaotic dogs. They can be independent thinkers, talented escape artists, dramatic conversationalists, and incredibly loving companions all at once. Living with a Siberian is not always easy, but for the right people, there is truly nothing else like them.
Through Ivie Huskies, I hope to continue learning, growing, and contributing positively to the breed while sharing the everyday moments, challenges, successes, and adventures that come with life alongside these incredible dogs.
